We are situated in the 'Quercy Blanc' on the edge of three departments, the Lot, the Lot et Garonne and the Tarn et Garonne, thus covering a part of both Aquitaine and the Midi Pyrenees.
Our properties are mainly in a triangle between the river Lot to the north, the river Tarn to the south and from Cahors in the east to Agen in the west.
The Lot valley to the east of Fumel is famous for its Cahors wine which is a full complex red well known throughout France. The river Lot meanders through vineyards and farms past hilltop (bastide) towns and towards the Midi Pyrenees. The area is famous for its local produce : plums, apples, melons, nectarines, cherries, “chasselas de Moissac”, “pruneaux d’Agen”, etc. . These can be sampled from the thriving weekly markets held in almost every local town or village. You will also be charmed by the numerous sunflower fields which add to the wonderful colour pallet of this area.
Transport to the area has improved in recent years thanks to low priced airlines and improved road network. The TGV train goes to Agen with direct links to Paris and Lille (Eurostar) and there are international airports at Bordeaux, Toulouse and Bergerac.
There is a lot of history evident and many sightseeing opportunities. These include the many hilltop villages, castles, museums, caves and a large number beautiful churches and cathedrals. The area and its people are very welcoming, you will feel at home here in no time!
